Thanks and Encouragement
Since I didn’t get a chance to mention this before the holiday, and since I probably won’t get another chance to write much until after the New Year celebration, I’ll say it now: Thanks for supporting Logia!
Whether you are a paid or free subscriber, you are appreciated very much. I’ve told you guys this before in some podcasts, but it bears repeating here — Just knowing that there are people in the world who are reading with a critical eye, who are not simply swallowing the noise of social media influencers and corporate media conglomerates and then unthinkingly regurgitating it, that is enough to remind me that despairing over the troubles we face in this life is irrational.
There is ample evidence providentially placed before our eyes that God has been, is now, and will always be in control. Your readership is part of that providentially placed evidence, and so I want to thank you.
And, in turn, I want to encourage you to continue thinking about and discussing these ideas. Continue to dig in your heels when it comes to the truth. Continue to diligently understand the truth and live in light of it. You might very well see the fruit of your labor.
Many times people say that it isn’t enough to talk about the evils we face in this age, that we are supposed to be changing things as well. But this assumes that speaking about what is wrong in the world is purely negative. It isn’t. It is a proactive measure to ensure that others don’t suffer needlessly because of a lack of knowledge, or an inability to see past propaganda, newspeak, and the subtlety of wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Think, gain understanding, and spread what you have learned to others. Your labors are not in vain.
Some Updates
If you’ve kept on my podcasts, you may have seen that I haven’t been making any new episodes for about two months or so. Firstly, I want to apologize for that. In addition to social commitments and the holidays, I also had a persistent cold(?) that got in the way of talking for extended amounts of time. It wasn’t debilitating or anything; it just made me have coughing fits that seemed to last forever when I tried to talk for longer than a minute or two. Very annoying! But I’m over that now, thankfully, so I can start recording pretty soon.
Secondly, however, I won’t be able to do that until I get my new microphone delivered. A loved one surprised me this Christmas with the news that he had gotten me a new, high quality microphone to record with, so I’m just waiting on the mic to arrive so I can start recording again.
Thirdly, I am still working on the “Radical” Hospitality book. I think it is important to delve into this matter, seeing as many Christians are turning to popular books on how to survive the “post-Christian” cultural apocalypse and, sadly, don’t realize that those books, in many cases, are actually helping anti-Christ movements and their ideologies. My work on Rosaria Butterfield’s book The Gospel Comes With a House Key and Carl R. Trueman’s The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self are going to be supplemented by the new book in progress, and I want everyone to have access to it. So I will be granting late free access to those articles for free subscribers.
Lastly, I want to wish you a happy new year!
